I guess it depends on what you really want them for.  I had a pair of 
Diadora's but they didn't fit me quite right so I gave them to my 
brother-in-law.  He absolutely loves them.....

I bought a pair of Sidi On Roads to replace them.  I've had them a couple 
of years now and you really can't tell.  I've taken numerous multi-day 
trips with them in all kinds of weather and have no complaints at all (6-7 
hours in the rain with no leaks).  See them at:

Now for track days i wear Sidi Vertebra Race.  I find these to be pretty 
comfortable but now where near as comfortable as the On Roads.  The Race 
boots have more protection.

I liked the finish and construction of Daytona boots too but could not find 
a size that fit me right,
