    Won't hurt to try!  At the risk of not being taken seriously,
while leaving it idling I would spray the stepper motor with WD40 (or
starter fluid, ether, etc,. maybe even the carb cleaner will work)
and look for an increase in RPM.  If there is any kind of crack, you
should see it spin up momentarily as it burns the extra fuel.  If it
works, please remit a check for $8.69.  Thank you!

    On second thought, please disregard my earlier plea to have you
cuff me!  It wouldn't be fun for either of us;... you're not only a
little younger (I'm 72) but I'm not even in shape - and I consider
round to be a shape.  Besides that, I seldom bathe, trim my nails or
brush my tooth and both my hairs are dirty.  Thank you for your kind
