Re: [ST] Re: Sprint 2002 Rear Bearing Failure - the story continues



It might not be a bad idea to jack the rear up once in a while and give
the rear wheel as spin while listening for any unusual growling noises

- -- in my mind it's just more justification to have put a centrestand on
my RS (no hinged lift handle yet though ;-)

Coincidentally I was speaking to a Triumph mechanic not more than a few
days ago that mentioned he had seen a few Speed Triples with noisy
bearings in the front wheel -- no seizures to report, thank goodness --
I can't imagine that this issue would be limited to just this model
though.....
