Re: [ST] Widder Bi-Metal Thermostat, any good?

I think there is not enough information to tell how the "bi-metal" thermostat works. It could work almost exactly like a heat-troller with some temperture input.

But what does the thermostat (bi-metal or other) measure? And where?

Since the only temperture that matters is your body, it makes since for you to do the controlling. If the thermostat automatically adjusts when you go from freeway speeds to stop and go, it would be nice. But if the sensor is not in just the right place, you will still have to turn the knob as conditions change.

I am happy with my heat-troller dual controller.
