RE: [ST] Sylvania headlights

Unbelievable...I called Sylvania first thing this morning, and was able to
talk to an actual human without waiting. And she was VERY pleasant. I
described the situation, and she actually apologized for the problem! AND
she said she would send a replacement bulb today!!

She asked if I would send the broken bulb back so that they could do a
failure analysis on it.

I must be dreaming...

Subject: [ST] Sylvania headlights

For anyone who bought the Sylvania SilverStar headlights during the sale
back in October...

Yesterday, the high beam element on one of them burned out. The low beam
element is still good (though I don't know how long it will last), and both
elements on the other one are good.

I'm going to contact Sylvania tomorrow to see what kind of warranty they
have on these things; their web site just says "100% satisfaction
guaranteed" and "contact us with questions". It hasn't been very long since
I installed them, and I certainly haven't put them to "hard" use by going
off-road or anything, so I'm surprised that they would crap out so soon.

I'll let you know what I find.
