Fair enough, Rod. I just wanted to share my experiences with the ST, where
the described settings DO produce a laden bike which handles very nicely
indeed.

Cheers,

Rick,

The following isn't meant to be criticism of your suggestion, but just an
observation from my experiences.

I put in a set of RT emulators and a Progressive Shock on a Concours and my
whole attitude on "sag" changed. After trying the scientific measurement
techniques, the static sag on the rear just wouldn't hit the magic numbers.
Then I just adjusted things until they just felt right whether or not they
fell into the magic 25-33 or didn't. Did the same with fork and shock
springs from Hyperpro on the ST. I found that it became frustating and
unproductive for me to try hit a range that comes out of the racing world
but may or may not fit my real world combination of bike components and too
many big mac's body. The results on the road were excellent as well.

Rod
