I hope you have better luck than we did.  Virtually every 'interesting' road
to and around Santa Barbara was closed late last week.  We drove over 400
miles trying to get from LAX to SB!

My take:
A zero to 180mph analog speedo is very difficult to read at the best of
times.  Factor in poor visibility and the need to remove my advanced, middle
age guy (compared to Doggy) reading glasses in cold, damp conditions and but
for my Sigma, I'd have no idea of my speed much of the time.
