After much trial, tribulation and frustration I have concluded that it is best to just book yourself some hours with your much loved ST and get a few things done at once. 

Basically, I strip the front of the bike and use this time to clean the bits you cant get to normally. Quite often I find something else that needs attention and once I start I get a fair bit done. Of course when time is a factor this is where the frustration comes in for me.

Its hard to believe that what is such a good bike is let down by, what seems to me, to be a lack of engineering and forward thinking for maintenence. I know its been said before, but I think its more than reasonable to expect a higher standard from Triumph.
