No real secret Dave,  I pretty much do what Capt. Serlick noted, removing the
mirrors, trim pieces, then the nose.  The last couple of times I went into my
'99's nose I don't think I bothered removing the side fairings, just the bolts
that join the nose to them.  

Now I've not been into the '03 yet but I can't imagine that's changed, I'll be
doing some things in Feb once I get my garage back (it's packed with kitchen
cabinets and crap for a remodel, shoot me now!) so I'll note any changes
then.  But as the good Capt. noted, it's about 20 mins to take it off and
another 20 to put it back on.

BTW, on the well nuts subject, if anyone knows what our windscreen well nuts
are specifically I'd like to know too.  All of the generic ones I find don't
have the "swell" in the middle of the body to keep it in the hole, they are
basically flat sided.  Bolt type/pitch/measures would be nice too!
