[ST] RE: st-digest V2004 #763

OK I have not had my say yet - and it looks like everybody else has...

Ooh the language on the internet is shocking these days :)

Rupert - I knew you were a top guy (and a pleasure to ride with...) but this
once again proves it. I will certainly be ponying up for some sort of
beverage of your choice when we ride/meet next. He's a tech nerd/geek like
myself so I am sure he will do a souper job.

I belong to another group on Yahoo (NTSR which has a lot of people -
including the "leader" Ken M) and it works just fine. I also use Yahoo as
my daily net portal, again with no problems. I use an Yahoo email address
(which incidentally has an excellent spam protector - which I think is free
- - I pony up a little extra each year for POP3 access so I'm not 100% sure)
with no problem.

Having said all that, I don't give a shite where the list is - the features
we have on Yahoo Groups such as uploading of files, searchable archives etc.
would be real nice and I'm sure are being worked on right now (see
above...re: Rupert) but we have not had these for a while now so its not
like we really miss them that much. I can see why people don't like Yahoo
even though I don't mind them - I have my own pet peeves so don't get me
started on Microsoft (not that I am an Apple fan - far far from it - I
refuse point blank to buy into this whole iPod shit) or Disney (the true
devil incarnate...) and a certain "Dubbya" - each to his own. I just love
the banter - reminds me of my mis-spent youth in the military.

Sick sick sick of this friggin' snow :)

Cheers,

Kevin
