I had a similar discussion with some mates. None of us are keen on bikes with full fairings, mainly because of the heat factor ( we live in a warm country), plus I personally just don't like too much plastic. I'm not even convinced about the belly pan on my RS.

Just goes to show - everyone has different needs and tastes.

The local dealer doesn't think an RS version will see the light of day - he thinks Triumph will produce the new Daytona for the sport bike fans, the ST for us lot, and the Triple for people doing short distances and urban loony stuff.

I think I'll just wait for an "RS" version to come out while I pile the distance on my RS.

BTW - has anyone tired the Michelin Pilot Sports or the Pirelli Corsa on their RS? I'm looking to work out which tire is the best for "grip" on less than perfect road surfaces. Mileage is less of a factor to me - one front end slip or high side pays for a lot of tires.
