Try a direct wire jumper to horn...see if the horn is broken. NOTE: discount 
horn from bike before doing this so you don't send current back up to 
switch.  If that works, and if your mechanical inclined use a 12V meter or 
test light to see if the switch is actually sending power/ground.  Not sure 
on British bikes whether it's 12V Positive or negative....the British have a 
tendency to do things backwards.  :-)  Hope this helps....
