Motorcyclist Online just finished an Adv. tourer review a couple weeks
ago, pitting the Tiger against the KLR, KTM, R1200GS, and VStrom.

You have to subscribe to read the whole article, but their take on the
Tiger is this:  Its a great tourer, but not a good off-road bike.  It
placed 5th out of 5.  Rankings were KTM - 1st, BMW - 2nd, KLR - 3rd,
VStrom - 4th, Tiger - 5th.

Does anyone know how the Tiger and a R1200GS (or even a R1150GS) match
up?

I'm seriously considerting a shift to a more touring orientation.  I
love my
ST but I don't see a lot of reason keep both it and an RS.
