Yes, if you have the factory heated grips, the heater wires are integrated
into the grips limiting options.  They are a bit larger in diameter than the
non-heated factory grips too, which feels a bit better to me.

But I guess you could always use the existing wiring harness to power
something like Kimpex or DualStar (?) heaters underneath "normal" grips 
instead.
