Ignition switch problems are not to be trifled with. The unwanted cut-out of
your engine could cause an accident and possibly get you killed.
As long as you know that the problem is the current ignition switch, buy a new
or salvaged switch from a crash bike! (Make sure you get the key with a salvage
part.) Removing and installing the switch is a piece of cake. There is a small
retaining clip and lock nut/washer under the handlebars. You will probably need
to remove the upper part of the cockpit fairing to gain access, tools, and much
need light into the area.
