Re: [ST] 1050 wheelie?

I saw the tank slapper trick on a Ducati Monster 900. Poor sod didnt save it. He totalled the bike, broke both arms and damaged various other bits of himself. We were shooting a video at the time so at least we captured it.

FWIW - I regularly got around 8,000 - 10,000kms out of Bridgestone 020's on my '99.

What sort of riding are you all doing to get such low mileage??? I'm scared to go riding with you blokes!

Ever seen someone bring it down and then go straight into a tank slapper ?

I saw a guy do that on a TL1000 at at least 80mph (130kms) while he was lane
splitting in four lanes of fast moving traffic- he only just caught it, I
thought he was going to end up a bike sandwich.

I bet he needed his leathers dry-cleaned after that !

BTW - all this talk of 4000 kms out of a tire is making my wallet nervous.

cheers
