Some of his customers reported a low-speed wobble with the 45. Note that many of his customers are sportbike owners, so perhaps the more aggressive steering geometry has something to do with it. Dunno. The 45 does have a different tread pattern with that zigzag groove up the middle. I've also read many reports of people that think they're (45) great. I've never used one, but I took his suggestion and liked the 49 up front. A few other local SPORT-touring riders (way faster than me) were sold on the 49/46 combo. I got about 6K out the rear (two track days in there too), and 8K on the front but could have pushed it farther if I was staying close to home.

Interesting.  I've run three sets of AV45/46's without noticing any
wander...  For the record, I get 6-7k miles from the rear and a few
thou more from the front.
