I've been using the 45/46 on my RS for the past 25k and have loved them. 
 I thought it just felt like I knew where the road really was compared 
to the stock BT020 I'd used from purchase.  After I got used to the feel 
of the Avons the stock 020's were crap.  I get 10-12k out of the Avons, 
but I don't do a lot of aggressive riding, more distance.  I also think 
the Avons handle much better than 020's on dry and wet, would never use 
anything different unless of course I could squeeeeze more miles for 
cheaper.
