One can do this.  Triumph gets an arm & a leg for the rebuild kits,
though I understand they're available in the aftermarket.  

The issue isn't related to the cleanliness of the caliper internals;
it's the external build-up of brake dust, road grime & such which
causes the pistons to want to retract that extra bit and produces the
mushy brake feel.  A friend with a Speed Triple rebuilt his calipers
and felt no improvement over just cleaning as we've described; none;
nada.
