RE: [ST] SS brake lines



This reminds me of the time I had the master cylinder seals go on a VW Kombi (75/78 air-cool 1800).

Bouncing along at max (120KPH/ 75mph)- come up to a busy intersection, hoof the brakes and.....nothing. Pumping did nothing also, lucky for me I sailed through without hitting anything. 

I got quoted something mad from VW for a new master cylinder kit, but did a perfectly good job by taking all the 'O'ring seals to an O ring supplier and getting them to match it up for me.

The repair cost less than R5 ($1).

A good way to learn that you ignore maintenance on the brakes at your peril - the brakes had been feeling a bit soggy before that.
