RE: [ST] Trip Report

180, Wolfpen Gap, which leads to TWO. Fun fun road with three 10-15 mph hairpins.

Also, is it 60 that gets you to Buck Bald just over the GA/TN line (I think)? A slightly sketchy, steep dirt and gravel road to the top, but the view is so worth it! 360 degrees of mountains. We made it up there on a Hawk, Monster 900, Yamaha XT500 and a new Kawi Z1000. I'm sure a Sprint could make it. Bring a camera and stand on the picnic table.

Hi Bill,
I'm just south of Chesnee off of 221.

We sure do ride the same roads. I thought that 64 from Highlands to
Franklin was really nice too. But the traffic along all those golf
courses especially near Lake Toxic was terrible. I'll swear 9 out of 10
cars had Florida plates and needed a ground guide to get around a curve. I
used 23 to the BRP and down 215 to avoid that stretch on the way home.

The Cherohala is a nice road but we need to look down in the corner of NC,
SC and GA. There are some nice roads down between Murphy and Helen. I used
to think that WV was the world's best kept secret until I hit some of
those roads.

We'll have to get together and check them out. Man two ST's running those
roads will be almost like a mini-RAT RAID :-)
