Nate,
I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. And you are quite right that 
losing someone like that can change your entire perspective on life. My 
little brother died in a 3:00am car accident across the street from my 
mother's house two months shy of his 25th birthday. I won't go into 
details, but my outlook on life changed big-time when I saw him laying 
in the hospital like that.
