    The stock RS suspension, especially the front, HAS to be
considered as unusable. One can no more set up the stock front end
of an RS to do the job than you can set up a donut to survive
immersion in a cup of hot coffee. Heigh thee to the nearest
Race-Tech or other certified front end tuner to get it rebuilt, if
there's none close to you... take it in a truck so you don't have to
ride it! It's a lot cheaper than the crutches which you'll otherwise
become so adept at handling! Every bike of mine since the '84 1000
Interceptor has been Race-Tech'ed;... I used the money I might
otherwise have wasted on an aftermarket exhaust can.

                                   Have fun;
