The news dates back to March 8th but I don't remember it being mentioned on this site.
Simon Milward, who was riding round the world on a motorcycle, got killed in a road crash in Mali.
Simon had already raised almost 200,000 dollars on behalf of humanitarian organizations.
I met Simon when he was Secretary General of the European Federation of Motorcycle Associations (FEMA), the equivalent of the AMA over there, and we worked together on some issues relating to EU norms for motorcycles.

I was living in Brussels and riding a Hinckley Triumph Trident 750 back then and there were not that many new Triumph around at the time (1992/94). I remember Simon taking a ride on my bike and being so proud to see that British bikes were back in the game.

Just to pay tribute to a very brave and dedicated Man and motorcyclist.
