RE: [ST] L ooking for a Sprint

Thanks, Chuck. I really appreciate the prayers. One can do nothing
greater than to intercede in prayer to the One Who Heals. God has
provided grace and strength when needed and life has never been sweeter.

I'm still in a quandary as to what to do about the bike. Pay $600 for a
Corbin and backrest in the hopes my sweet pea will be comfortable enough
or sell/trade for something? We stopped in at Destination Motorsports
here in Knoxville today to pick up a part and my sweetie actually liked
the Rocket.

Milt had one set up for demo rides complete with saddlebags and
backrest. I can't ride or drive for 4 days since I got a porta-cath
installed today and my platelets and white blood counts are low (can't
risk taking a fall or making it bleed). We'll go for a ride next week
sometime. He also had a touring Bmer there (K1200 or something like
that). We looked at the Rocket accessories, mostly floor boards for the
rider and pillion--very expensive stuff.

Anyhoo, my thinking was I don't want to get a more expensive bike
because she'd just have to sell it and would take a hit in the
transaction. On the way back from the dealer it hit me that when the
time came for her to sell it it would just be a drop in the bucket and
not a big deal. (Actually, I'd have a close friend sell it for her.)

So, we're still trying to decide what to do. She wants me to get rid of
the ST because she thinks I ride too fast. I tell her I've slowed down
but she doesn't believe me. Ha-ha.

I will note I've blipped a Rocket up to 100 mph without a windscreen
(Honda Hoot last year). It got there almost instantly. It'll go plenty
fast enough, but one needs at least a fly screen to be comfortable at
highway speeds, I'm convinced. Hard to believe that bike is as fast as
our STs in certain situations.
