Re: [ST] Clutch Life?

I tend to lubricate anyway. As I said, it made the action of the clutch so much smoother and lighter. I still cant believe I did 85,000kms thinking that the ST's have a clutch thats a little on the heavy side.

How difficult was it to replace the throttle cable, Rupert?

I'm thinking I should do that soon as I really dont want the existing one to break like the clutch cable did.

Cheers,
Brett

> The first thing is to lubricate the new cable thoroughly. I used Underground
Moisture Control made by Castrol, but WD40 or RP7 or similar spray lubricant
will suffice. Hold the cable vertical, spray a bit in the top and work it down
with a smooth in and out motion...mmmmm.....

I recently installed a new throttle cable but did not lube it first. I
remember hearing something about the ST cables being teflon lined and
not needing lubing. Should I have lubed the throttle cable?
