The first time I changed I pulled the bike apart as per the book to get
access and see what was going on.
Once you know whats happening its pretty easy just a bit fiddly.
I still cant believe that Triumph designed the access this way and that their
best advice is to have the bike nearly completely stripped for a one minute
job.
Anyway Harry, their is the connector on the back of the bulb and the rubber
boot to remove. Then there is a sprung wire that holds the bulb in. Pulling all
this out takes seconds. Putting it back together by feel takes a little
longer. Be careful of the orientation of the bulb and make sure the wire and rubber
boot are back in properly.
I will be out of action for a while longer than first anticipated.
Yesterday two F***ing dogs ran out in front of me. I was doing about 40-50kph
on a suburban street, being very sensible because of the conditions. The
exact point where I braked was on a patch of damp oil/diesel. Instant lockup and
down we went on the right side. I lost some bark off my knees and jarred my
wrists and left shoulder. Not sure how that happened since I fell to the right.
So now I'm hoping the insurance company will cough up for all the fairing
pieces on the right side, plus the pipe, mirror, levers, brackets, cockpit subframe
etc etc.
If I had been going hard or being stupid I wouldnt be so p***ed off
Anyway, hope all are well
Cop u later
