Re: [ST] Recommended tire pressures??



I deliberately avoided mentioning the specification on the tire itself,
since that is definitely the maximum SAFE inflation pressure (above
which there is the danger of catastrophic tire failure), and this number
is always well above the recommended pressure.

Regarding experimentation -- I'd rather not experiment with SAFETY
issues (such as the risk of tire failure due to the excessive heat
build-up that can occur with an under-inflated tire).  IOW the best
handling setting may not necessarily be the safest.

I agree with your comment about negligible mileage variations due to
tire pressure however.
