My dilemma is how you can get 12,000 miles out of a set of tires?!
I couldn't get that much even on the dirt,... let alone on pavement!
Have you figured out how to levitate your ST??
I wondered the same thing. The last time I got that kind of mileage out
of a rear was my '79 KZ400, which had little power and rock hard tires.
My Sprint is actually my high mileage champion at 5k. The KLR goes
through a rear in 2500 miles. The KLR spends a lot of time chewing up
gravel roads. Neither bike commutes though and they rarely see freeway
miles. There's just too many good roads around here to bother with
freeways.

'99 Sprint ST - for going fast and far (2CZUSA)
'01 KLR650 - for exploring the North Coast backroads
'97 KLX300 & '01 Lakota - for playing in the dirt
'79 KZ400 - just because it was the first vehicle I ever owned
