RE: [ST] Panniers & parts info

I had forgotten the break year for taking the bags in house. Also the FI is no longer strictly Sagem. They are using Keihin on the Daytona 600 on 4 cyl bikes, the Rocket 3, and the new 1050 triple. Front brakes on many of the 'modern' ie. not classic looking, Triumphs is Nissin.

All:
Triumph once had Acerbis Milano make their panniers but switched to making them
"in house" back in '00.
Our Triumphs have LOTS of parts made by other sources: Body panels/parts are
still mostly made by Acerbis Milano, Italy. Paint is by Standox, Germany. EFI is
by Sagem, a Brit/French consortium. Forward and after shocks are by Showa
(Japan). Carbs are Keihin (Japan). Wheels are Brembo (Italian). Switchgear on
handlebars and turn signals (indicators), ignition switch are also Japanese.
Generally speaking, the average Triumph is 19% other than British made.
A safe Memorial Day week-end to all who celebrate,
