Re: [ST]rear hub play

I have been repacking the rear bearings in my SSSA ST every 5-6k miles, and so far lucked out with not having a bearing seizure so far. Any idea if the bearings are replacable ( I know it is not advised in the service manuals) , and if so, does anyone have a part number. I travel about 10k-12k a year, and would rather be replacing these every 20K as maintance, rather than have a failure during a trip (especially with my speeds). Thank you.

No reason to be paranoid. The rear wheel bearing failures have been on
the STs, I believe an unfortunate downside of the SSSA. Still I prefer
the design, which was driven home this week while putting new rubber on
my KLR.
