Re: [ST]rear hub play

I swear, what a bunch of ninnies you guys are turning into. Of the dozens,
if not hundreds, of Sprint owners that have crossed this mailing list I can
recall 1 fellow who had 2 bearing failures, and another 2 or 3 that had
single failures. That's a grand total of 5 failures reported since 1999.
There have been more siezed chain adjustment ecentrics reported than failed
rear wheel bearings. I myself have put 45k miles on a '99 model with no
failures. My current '02 had it's bearing replaced at 32k miles because it
fell into the recall range. It showed NO sign of damage. I currently have
22k miles on the new one and have no worries about going atleast another
40-60k on it. Cripes, what happened to riding these bikes? What other bike
would you even consider replacing wheel berings on at previously mentioned
short intervals? Harley Davidson is the only one I can think of, and that's
because they arn't sealed units.

Chicken Little is alive and well, and is living on the internet.
