Marc
Can't help as mine is 00 RS.
As it's so new, don't you have the user's manual?

I had a quick look this morning.
there is no rubber cover over wire, just a big rectangular plastic lug
that seems to plug onto the bulb connectors. I wonder if something
changed on the 04 RS?
I tries pulling it loose, but it was very stiff. I didn't want to break
the thing -is there a trick ?
thanks
marc

Getting the bulb out is a no-tools affair.
Pull off the cover over the cable-entry then pull off the connector.
Pull off the rubber water-resistant ring.
With some light on it, find the end of the shiny wire paper-clip-type
thing that latches the bulb into its seat and wiggle it in a circular
motion until it comes unclipped. It should stay attached and hinge
away
from the bulb base.
Remove the bulb.
Replace, without touching the glass of the new one.
Endeavour to reverse the process of removal ensuring that the last
bits
are pushed on/seated well to keep out water.
