Neil,

That is true that I didn't have a close look to the schematic. My 
mistake about the drivers.
There is none in the ST nor RS to control the beams.
My intend was to clarify only not to polemicize. The rest remains true 
w/ the folowing adding:

As far as I can see on the schematic, when the bike is delivered w/ only 
one low beam and one hight beam (as  here), there is
no relay involved except the general switch off relay numbered 53 in the 
ground circuit.
Respectively, the relays to be added are 55 for hight beam and 54 for 
low beam. Same for ST and RS.

As far as I remember low and hight beam are 55 W.

Apparently  for some early 1999 ST , the relay olders are  not present.

I send you the schematics. If you din't sort that out already it could 
be easier for you (unless you have them already).
