Just read the article I mentioned top to bottom:

On dry pavement under controlled conditions (beginning of the
test) you can see that with practice you can stop perhaps
3 feet sooner without ABS. But that's neither panic nor on
a road that is contiminated with water, white lines, leaves
or other stuff. Especially check out the wet tests...

A quote from after the wet testing:
"The results from our non-ABS stops were shocking. Three riders rode
through all 350 feet of water-soaked pavement before stopping on a 
dry portion of road at the other end. Even Racer and RRider, the 
daredevils who skidded over the sewer cover during the dry pavement
tests, got off the brakes long before crossing the wet sewer cover.

The improvements in stopping distances when riders counted on ABS were
almost unbelievable group averaged 120-foot shorter stops! Not one of
our riders on a non-ABS motorcycle could outstop an ABS machine.
None were even close! Riders that had never been on an ABS motorcycle
were amazed at the amount of traction available for braking before the
ABS needed to take over."

Also check out the tables with the results of the wet testing in
figure 4, especially the full ABS results. Humans just have huge
limitations in this respect. A safety net like ABS can only help,
also when you see those couple or Russian guys sliding into the
pictures before they even hit anything.

In leaning a traditional ABS will not help as efficiently as it
would upright. But the newer BMW systems which are powered and
linked electronically apparently do have a better performance
in leaning, I guess also helped a lot by the telelever. I saw
a demo video of the Dutch police testing a new RT ABS, while
in a turn on a testtrack. Worked flawless, like throwing out
an anchor.

I have other ABS tests, but they are all in Dutch and German.
But they confirm what is in the imbwr test.
