I ran mine in per the book, and as advised by the Triumph guys here, by sticking 95% to the guideline, and varying the load, throttle and road conditions.

Its done 6000kms now, and it still feels pretty "tight", but it is definitely producing more power than it did 2 000 kms ago.

When I chose the bike I wanted a combination of useful power (not insane), plus lots of torque, character, versatility and reliability.

So far nothing has happened, or new models come out, that make me think I made the wrong choice.
