[ST] stock suspension

Hi All,

I did an hour and a half on the local track on Sunday, and I can honestly say my '04 RS, with stock suspension and BT010's handles as well as I need it to.

I don't think its worth touching the suspension till it needs maintenance, and then I'd upgrade it like the guys are doing on this list.

I'm very stoked - no wobbles, no fuss. The front tire wear was OK, but the back looks a bit shagged on the right side edge. I didn't manage to get the hero blobs to scrape, but I reckon next time out I'll be there. I don't understand why the front tire seems to have a small "chicken strip" but the back tire has some serious wear right up to the edge.

Different profile ?

I had guys passing me, on CBR1000's & R1s, like I was going in reverse, but mostly I could hang on to the ordinary joes.

I have to admit that the new '05 liter Super bikes are fearsome machines - several times I was right behind a guy as he started pouring on the power, only to watch him blast off like a Polaris missile leaving me feeling like I was riding a scooter.

The best I saw down the back straight after the kink was 195kph, and these guys were screaming past me looking like they were hitting 240/250.

cheers

Marc
