RE: [ST] Rocket vs. ST vs. Beemer

No sports bike with panniers would have kept up with us and enjoyed it on Sunday.

We ran hard for hours over some pretty bump stuff. I defy anyone to sit over the front wheel, bum over a stiff short-travel shock, weight on your wrists and then do 500kms of fast bumpy twisty stuff, without collapsing in a heap! A sport bike rider would have had sore kidneys for days!

Once we got past Montagu (aprox 200kms) we didn't see a single sports bike.

I got home, cleaned up & still felt fresh - no way I would have as much fun on an R1/ CBR/ GSXR/ 999 etc.

Besides we ran aprox 250kms between fuel stops- bit of a stretch for a sports bike when you are caning it.

The Beemer is an awesome piece of engineering, but expensive and somehow it lacks something - three cylinders maybe?

Sprint/ RS rules!

cheers
