Re: [ST] oil
You are good to go. The friction modifiers are supposedly what will make a clutch slip, thus the motorcycle would prefer to not have them.

I have a couple jugs of gold cap in my garage right now ready to go into
my S3/ST for future oil changes. Your comment on "It does NOT have
friction modifiers according to everything I can find." kinda worries me
now. SHOULD the oil we put in our beloved Trumpets have friction
modifiers ? I thought I had the right oil to use for future oil changes
but now I'm not sure.
Cheers.

I've got a jug of Mobil 1 gold cap that I got at Wal-Mart about a month
ago for right on $23. Gold cap is easy to find and relatively cheap for a
full synthetic. It does NOT have friction modifiers according to
everything I can find. That being said 10W40 versus 15W50 is a total
non-issue to all but the most anal oil crazies. Rod
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary
safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
