Matt,
Again you have a valid point that you don't make progress following the KISS
Rule to the letter.  The question with this product is whether on not it is
worth the effort.  As you stated, unsprung weight should be a significant
concern.  Anyway you cut it, to reverse the mass in motion of the rotors
requires energy.  Yes it will be small, but you have increased the rolling
friction of the bike. It just seems that there is more complexity and
possible points of wear and failure than any gain it will produce.
