Before you start messing with things, download the ECU tune which is in the bike and save it.  That way if you muck things up you can reload what you had before you started.  TuneBoy allows you to read and copy what is in the ECU so you can always revert back if needed.

That's what I did, just in case I screwed things up.

I know there are quite a few people on this list that have tried the Tuneboy 
and others. The thing that stops me from experimenting with one is if I 
totally stuff it up, how do I get the stock mapping back in the ECU without an 
expensive trip to a dealer?
