Re: [ST] for Brett - fuel economy

I have seen the result of injecting or forcing water into the carb duct
(pipe from the carb to the inlet port) on a supercharged B40? BSA. The
increase in power is due to the water molecules dispersing the fuel more
evenly and the effect of the water molecules vaporising during the burn.
This works best with long stroke engines.
It is normal with special build superchargers to have water injection.
There is a mod kit which can be installed on a Jaguar XKR for doing this.

If you want to research the "scrounger", it won best engineering and various
other top prizes for a couple of years in the 90s.
