Bull-fuckin-shit.  I wasn't gonna jump into the OT fray on this, but man 
when I hear that comment it's like fingernails on chalkboard.

I'm lucky enough to have both in the stable, and frankly if I had to give 
up all but one bike, the VFR would remain for many reasons.

I've heard the old "no soul" comment applied to viffers and st-1100's alot 
and disagree strongly.  All bikes have a soul.  Period.  I'm disappointed 
in you Mr. Knowles, for throwing that out there. Seriously.
