I have seen on Aerostich's site some baggies for your hands.
I currently find my OR (Outdoor Research) Gore-Tex Mountain/Modular Mits to work pretty well as over mits for my leather gloves for extended periods in torrential rain. I have also used my Gore-Tex shell mountaineering gloves which provide a bit more dexterity than the mits, unfortunately those aren't nearly as bomb-proof.

You could always do the Gold Winger's trick and use "pogies". I don't
know where you would get them. I make my own out of polar fleece for use
on my rowing shells; same concept, radically different application. My
first thought would be to try to find a pogie that is simply a water
proof shell, and then wear your favorite warm gloves inside. They are a
little cumbersome, and you can't see your switch gear, but I have used
them on snowmobiles, and they by god work.

NikWax http://tinyurl.com/frw3u makes products which prevent fabrics
from absorbing water. I wash my gear with Nikwax's Tech Wash and
treat it with TX Direct. It's very effective!

Sounds like I need to get me some Nikwax Tech Wash along with other
stuff. My textile jacket is still damp from yesterday's rain.
Back on the issue of gloves, I like the look of the Held Steve's, but
can't see spending $200 on two pair of gloves (Raindrop and Steve).
I don't know, maybe I should just give up the idea of staying dry and
being able to have comfortable gear at the same time.
