Re: [ST] Can you please delete the old message before replying

I will ask for one caveat to this. There is a not-to-be-named person on one of my local lists that replies and deletes the original text all of the time. THE PROBLEM IS THAT WE ARE NEVER SURE WHAT EXACTLY HE IS REPLYING TO!!! So please, keep this in mind and at least keep the very last message in the reply.

I hate to bring this up as it's been around and around about every year and
a half or so.
A lot of us subscribe to the digest version to keep from getting so many
e-mails and we have everything on one neat package.
That is, until everybody starts replying without deleting the old test.
Please, only what is important is needed.
The last several digests have had numerous folks replying to the original
message and they are probably not even aware of what happens.
For example there was a reply on "db's and ears".
The reply was four lines long but had, get this, 524 lines of text dragged
onto it by just hitting reply.
And there were five replies like this all carrying the old text.
Don't take it as a gripe, but a request.
Our digest takes so much time lining down to get to each new post it's
frustrating.
Like the guy on the corner says; Please help :-)
