They have a 35 amp alternator.  So at 12 volts (nominal) thats 12 * 
35 = 420 watts.  Considering that charging voltage is about 13.8vdc 
at running speed that's 13.8 * 35 = 483 watts.  I've had no problem 
adding heated clothing that draws ~100 watts.
