The same muck is being spread over the roads here in Ireland.
Low traction is one problem. Another is the greasy residue that's left on
riders visors when the mixture is thrown up by traffic. It's like having
your visor covered in vaseline and won't wipe off with a gloved hand. Once a
layer builds up it's necessary to stop and wash (not wipe, wash!) the visor.

No April fools unfortunately, the Councils use the concoction because it
stays on the roads and doesn't block the drains.
