Re: [ST] Remote Garage Door device

I've heard (at least in the States) of using the blank in the right hand grip housing for this use. I believe in Europe this is not a blank as it is where you all can turn your headlights on and off (we do not have that option here).

I know of folks who have wired the garage remote into the horn button.
Not my first choice, annoying the neighbors (or the wife) each time I
left/arrived. I like the idea of a separate button.

Subject: [ST] Remote Garage Door device

Ive had an incident recently where someones tried to force the lock on
the
garage (a glorified plastic shed from costco). They werent after the
bike as
theyd broken into a few other garages that night but someone/thing or
the
lock disturbed them.

Speaking to a work colleague as he inspected my bike - currently on the
forklifts recharging unit - he described how his garage door is remotely
operated and hes wired the fob into his bikes electrics and just has a
button on the fairing to push. The garage door is flush which annoys
criminals and he doesnt have to get off his bike to open the door (yes
he is
a bit of a fat git).

Thought some of you gadget crazed elders might appreciate this - who
will be
the first to adopt it or claim to have it already in action (the wife
doesnt
count)?
