Re: [ST] Seat cowl

I have the NWS rear hugger, and I'd have to agree with simple install and removal. Being that I have a Scottoiler running through the chain guard already, I think it's best to keep these two things separate as well.

  Dan & Zoltan,

I've been through three huggers on my STs.
The Triumph plastic hugger (flimsy and largely ineffective).
The JL carbon. (Nice and worked well)
NWS Silver ghost. (Beautiful and the best overall design).

The NWS provided the best protection and was the easiest to install, largely
because it doesn't have a chain guard built in but uses the OE item instead.
The result is that there's no need to remove the rear calliper to fit it
over the brake line. I'm guessing that it's also easier to manufacture for
the same reason. I'd also have a lot more confidence in the OE chain guards'
ability to protect the legs from broken chains that I would have had with
the JL carbon part. It might be worth checking out the NWS product if you're
going to go to the trouble of making a mould.
