I think every long distance rider has an out of gas story or two.  The BRP and SD both can get you as well as many of the good roads, especially on Sunday's because many of those "save your butt" stations are closed.

I have an 02 with 18T by 43T sprockets and a Triumph CF can.  Both of those items dropped my mileage.  Right now my light comes on between 185 to 190 if driving sane.  It will push high 170's when cranking too much wrist into things.  When totally stock I had the light coming on between 200 and 220. Those USA miles guys, not to confuse the metrics among us :-)
